I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, licensed to practice independently in the state of Massachusetts. I have worked in the field of mental health for 12 years in both private residential treatment and community mental health settings, working with clinically diverse and complex populations of adults, children, and families. My approach to treatment is multi-modal and integrates psychodynamic theory with strength-based, person-centered, internal family systems, and motivational interviewing methods. I work from a perspective that promotes the autonomy, authority, and dignity of the individual. Treatment is a collaborative process. Humans are social beings and I believe that relationships are central to growth and healing.
In addition to my direct clinical work, I am actively engaged in supporting and participating in suicide prevention efforts through the American Federation for Suicide Prevention, and local community efforts to provide food and resources to those in need. I am an advocate for equity in healthcare; I am passionate about eradicating the stigma of mental health issues and breaking down the barriers to affordable, effective treatment.
I reside in the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts where I get to take in the splendor and beauty of the rolling hills and change of seasons. I am an avid football fan, dog lover, and cook/baker.
